I have been reading a lot, probably too much for the sake of my fragile sanity, about Trump’s undercover invasion of our cities, but there is one point Trump himself has made very clear, and it has received zero attention as far as I know. Trump is specifically targeting places where political leadership is Democratic. I know that that is obvious, but it seems that the brazen partisanship itself of this abuse of power cannot possibly be legal/constitutional! I would think that would be in a lot of headlines. Maybe it will be part of the dozens of lawsuits that are being filed, but it appears to me that the issue is being ignored.
This is also important for the individuals being victimized by Trump’s secret police. Are none of the federal buildings and monuments he claims to be protecting located in Republican district? Are there no protests held in Republican jurisdictions? Citizens are being victimized largely on the basis of election results in the place where they live, as much as, or even more than, on the basis of their acts or beliefs.
Apparently, there is Republican jurisdiction federal justice, and then there is Democratic jurisdiction federal justice, which is a whole different kettle of fish! Because all this is so obvious, does not mean it is unimportant.
